WAW Bangalore Dec 07 - A Big Success

Thanks to all your overwhelming response the WAW Bangalore was a tremendous success. We had close to 50 particpants actively interacting and contributing in the event. We also need to thank the sponsors of the event Eric Peterson (Web Analytics Demystified) and WebExpe. And for IndiaPlaza for giving all the partipants Gift Vouchers.

For those of you who missed the event; The event started with introductions and a keynote by Trinadh (Conuntry Head - WAA). Ravi Pathak of Triology ably compered the event and made it both lively and interactive. I had presented a paper on "Step Change in Web Analytics" and Seby of Flatworld Solutions presented on "Segmentation".

And the session ended with a question and answer session and high tea. The response from all those who attended the event was very positive and the feedback that we received was that we need to have more of such events at regular intervals. We are having a Small Poll to understand the frequency that is optimal to conduct WAW going forward. Please vote in the box on the right nav bar.

Web Analytics is taking hot seat in Internet Marketing these days. We see a lot more companies in India getting into this space and trying to recruit best analytic brains to provide insights from the web data. In this process, we see a lot challenges, quick wins, questions among the companies and practitioners.

We would like to bring some of these into limelight by conducting local events and building the community. One of the local events we are planning is Web Analytics Wednesday (WAW) across different parts of India.
